Terms of Service

Last updated: June 21, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Mockups Generator ("Mockups Generator," "we," "us," or "the Service") and govern your access to and use of our websites, applications, editor, API, and related services. Please read them carefully. They explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you, including how we handle the designs and templates you upload and the mockups we render. Effective date: June 21, 2026.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by any policies referenced in them, including our Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organization.

2. Description of the Service

Mockups Generator renders photorealistic product mockups from Photoshop (PSD) smart-object templates. You upload PSD templates and design images, and the Service composites your designs into the smart objects to produce rendered output images.

The Service includes the following, some of which may be added, changed, or removed over time:

  • A web editor for placing designs into templates and rendering mockups.
  • A public template library where users can browse, use, and optionally publish templates.
  • A REST API with webhooks for programmatic rendering and automation.
  • An embeddable editor for integrating mockup creation into your own products.
  • Print files and high-resolution rendered output.
  • Optional AI features (for example, automatic product segmentation or generation) that you may choose to use.

3. Eligibility, Accounts, and Security

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping it accurate.

To use most features you create an account using an email address and a password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for safeguarding your credentials and API keys. Keep your password and API keys confidential, and notify us promptly at support@mockupsgenerator.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account where you failed to keep your credentials secure.

4. Acceptable Use

Your use of the Service must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short, you may not use the Service to upload, render, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful, and you may not abuse, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.

We may suspend or limit access that we reasonably believe violates the AUP or these Terms, or that threatens the security, integrity, or availability of the Service for others.

5. User Content and Intellectual Property

"User Content" means the PSD templates, design images, and other materials you upload, as well as the mockups and files the Service renders from them.

You retain ownership. As between you and us, you own your uploaded designs and templates and the rendered outputs you create. We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

License to operate the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your User Content solely as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service for you — for example, to render mockups, generate print files, and deliver outputs to you and to integrations you authorize. This license ends when you delete the relevant User Content or close your account, except for content already shared publicly as described below and for backups retained for a limited period.

Your files are private and are not used to train models. Uploaded files are private to your account. We do not use your uploaded designs, templates, or rendered outputs to train machine-learning models.

Publishing to the public library. If you choose to publish a template to the public template library, you grant us and other users a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and use that template within the Service. You can unpublish a template you submitted, but copies already in use by others may persist.

Your warranties and indemnity. You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to upload your User Content and to grant the licenses above, and that your User Content does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party (including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights). You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mockups Generator from any claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising out of your User Content or your breach of these Terms.

Our IP. The Service itself — including our software, branding, and the look and feel of our website and editor — remains our property or that of our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described.

6. API, Rate Limits, and Integrations

We provide a REST API with webhooks. Your use of the API is subject to these Terms and to any documented usage limits, quotas, and rate limits. We may impose, change, or enforce rate limits and fair-use thresholds to protect the stability and security of the Service.

API keys are tied to your account and must be kept secret. You are responsible for all activity carried out with your API keys. We may throttle, suspend, or revoke API access that exceeds limits, degrades the Service for others, or appears to be abusive or compromised.

If you use the embeddable editor or webhooks, you are responsible for the security and correct configuration of your own systems that receive or send data to the Service.

7. Plans, Billing, and Taxes

The Service is currently free-first. Today you can use the Service without payment, and all renders are watermark-free on every plan, including the free plan. The free plan includes an allowance of 50 renders per calendar month, which renews at the start of each month; editor previews are free and do not count toward it. Paid plans are coming soon.

When paid plans become available, the following will apply unless we state otherwise at the point of purchase:

  • Fees are charged in advance for the applicable billing period (for example, monthly or annually) and are stated at checkout.
  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate until you cancel. You authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your payment method for each renewal.
  • Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or similar charges, which may be added to your invoice.
  • Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe when billing is enabled; your use of paid plans is also subject to Stripe's terms.

8. Cancellation and Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. If you are on a paid plan, you may cancel to prevent future renewals; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then unless stated otherwise.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or the AUP, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

On termination, the licenses you granted us to operate the Service end (except as described in the User Content section), and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as User Content warranties and indemnities, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.

9. Your Files, Retention, and Deletion

Files you upload and the mockups you render are stored using S3-compatible object storage (such as AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, or MinIO). Rendered files persist until you delete them, so you stay in control of how long your outputs are kept.

When you delete User Content or close your account, we delete the associated files in the ordinary course, subject to short-lived backups and any retention required by law. For details on how we handle your data and which subprocessors we use (including Stripe and, for optional AI features, Replicate), see our Privacy Policy.

10. Service Availability and "As-Is" Disclaimer

We work to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that rendered outputs will meet your specific requirements. You are responsible for reviewing rendered outputs and print files before relying on them for production or distribution. Some features, including optional AI features, may be experimental.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mockups Generator and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100. Because the Service is currently free-first, where you have paid no fees this cap is USD 100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes to the Service and to These Terms

We are actively developing the Service and may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will try to avoid material disruption to core functionality, but we may discontinue features where reasonable.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Changes take effect when posted unless we state otherwise. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mockups Generator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you and we submit to the courts competent in that jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law gives you other rights.

Our registered entity details and registered address are available on request by emailing support@mockupsgenerator.com.
