Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Mockups Generator ("we", "us", or "the Service") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our mockup editor and API. It describes which cookies are essential to run the Service, which optional cookies only load after you give consent, and how you can control all of them. We keep this short and plain — if anything is unclear, contact us at support@mockupsgenerator.com.
What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so it can recognize your browser on later requests. Similar technologies — such as your browser's local storage and session storage — let a web app keep small pieces of data on your device too. We use the word "cookies" loosely in this policy to cover all of these.
We use these technologies for two purposes only: to keep you signed in and the Service secure, and — if you consent — to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We group them as essential cookies (always on, required for the Service to work) and optional analytics cookies (off until you opt in).
Essential cookies we use
These cookies are strictly necessary to operate the Service. They cannot be switched off through our consent banner because the Service would not function without them — for example, you could not stay signed in or upload a PSD template safely. We do not need your consent for these, but we list them here so you know exactly what they do.
- Session authentication: keeps you signed in to your account as you move between pages, the editor, and your saved mockups, so you do not have to log in on every request.
- Security: protects against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and abuse, helps us keep your account and uploaded files safe, and supports load balancing so the Service stays responsive.
- Editor and app state: remembers basic preferences and in-progress state in your browser's local/session storage (for example, editor settings) so the app behaves consistently during your session.
Optional analytics cookies (only after consent)
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to see which features are used and where people run into problems — for example, how often templates render successfully or where users drop off in the editor. These analytics cookies are optional. They do not load until you accept them in our consent banner.
If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and the Service still works normally. You can change your choice at any time (see "How to control cookies" below). Analytics data is used in aggregate to improve the Service and is never used to build advertising profiles.
What we do NOT use
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party marketing trackers. We do not sell your data, and we do not let advertisers track you across other websites through our Service.
Separately from cookies, your uploaded PSD templates and design images are private to your account and are not used to train AI or any other models. Rendered output is watermark-free on all plans, including the free plan, and your files persist until you delete them. Some features rely on third-party subprocessors that may set their own technical cookies only when that feature is in use — for example Stripe for payments (when billing is enabled) and Replicate for optional AI segmentation or generation (only when you use an AI feature). These are used to deliver the feature you requested, not for advertising.
How to control cookies
You are in control of optional cookies in two ways:
- Consent banner: when you first visit, our banner lets you accept or decline optional analytics cookies. You can reopen it and change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the site footer.
- Browser settings: every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies and clear local storage. Check your browser's help pages for instructions. Note that if you block essential cookies, core features such as signing in, the editor, and rendering may stop working correctly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new feature or change an analytics tool. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" below and, where appropriate, prompt you again through the consent banner. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
