Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains what you may and may not do when using Mockups Generator ("Mockups Generator", "we", "us", or "the Service") — including our PSD smart-object rendering, public template library, REST API and webhooks, embeddable editor, and print-file outputs. It applies to everyone who accesses the Service, whether through the web app, the API, or an embedded editor. By using the Service you agree to follow this policy, which forms part of and should be read together with our Terms of Service. Our goal is simple: keep the Service safe, lawful, and reliable for every user. This page is effective June 21, 2026.
Who this policy applies to
This AUP covers all use of Mockups Generator by every account holder and any end user you grant access to — including designs and templates uploaded by your customers through the embeddable editor or generated programmatically through the API.
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and API keys, including activity by your team members, clients, or anyone using credentials you control. If you build a product on top of our API or editor, you must ensure your own users also comply with this policy.
- The web app and account dashboard
- Uploaded PSD smart-object templates and design images
- Rendered output images and print files
- The public template library
- The REST API, webhooks, and the embeddable editor
Prohibited content
You may not upload, render, publish, distribute, or otherwise process any content through the Service that falls into the categories below. This applies to PSD templates, uploaded design images, rendered outputs, print files, and anything you publish to the public template library.
We take child safety extremely seriously. Any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors is strictly forbidden, will be removed, and may be reported to the appropriate authorities and child-safety organizations.
- Content that is illegal under applicable law, or that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving, or appearing to involve, minors — zero tolerance.
- Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property, including copyrighted artwork, logos, brands, or trademarks you are not authorized to use.
- Content that violates a person's privacy or publicity rights, or impersonates a real individual or organization to deceive.
- Hateful, harassing, or violent content, including material that incites violence or promotes discrimination against people based on protected characteristics.
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content where it is unlawful or where you have not met the Service's age-gating and consent requirements.
- Malware, phishing pages, deceptive scam material, or content designed to defraud.
Prohibited conduct
Beyond the content rules above, the following behaviors are not allowed because they undermine the security, integrity, or availability of the Service for everyone.
If you are a security researcher and want to test the Service responsibly, contact us first at support@mockupsgenerator.com so we can authorize the work. Unauthorized probing is treated as an attack.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code, model weights, or proprietary internals of the rendering engine, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
- Abusing the API or circumventing rate limits, including distributing requests across multiple accounts or keys to evade quotas.
- Security probing, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or attempting to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access — without our prior written authorization.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or providing access to the Service in violation of your plan or the Terms of Service, including reselling raw render capacity as a competing service.
- Uploading or transmitting malware, viruses, or any code intended to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
- Scraping, harvesting, or bulk-downloading templates or other users' content from the public library in a way that violates these terms or applicable law.
- Interfering with the Service's operation — for example, denial-of-service attacks, flooding webhooks, or deliberately submitting malformed PSD files to crash the renderer.
- Sharing, exposing, or hard-coding API keys in public places, or failing to rotate keys you know or suspect are compromised.
Fair use of renders and quotas
Mockups Generator is currently free-first, and renders are watermark-free on every plan, including the free plan. To keep things fast and fair for all users, we apply reasonable usage limits, rate limits, and quotas — and we may adjust them over time as paid tiers become available.
Rendered files persist until you delete them, and your uploaded PSD templates and design images stay private to your account. Please use storage and render capacity in good faith. Automated bulk generation that is designed to exhaust shared capacity, or usage that materially exceeds what your plan reasonably contemplates, is not permitted.
If you need higher volume, a dedicated rate limit, or commercial-scale throughput, reach out to us at support@mockupsgenerator.com so we can find the right arrangement rather than having your traffic throttled or blocked.
- Stay within the rate limits and quotas published for your plan or returned by the API.
- Do not split workloads across multiple free accounts to dodge limits.
- Do not use the Service as a generic file host or CDN unrelated to mockup rendering.
- Build retry and backoff logic that respects rate-limit responses instead of hammering the API.
Your content, ownership, and the public library
You retain ownership and intellectual property rights in the designs you upload and the mockups you render. Your uploaded files are private to your account and are not used to train models. Because of this, you are fully responsible for ensuring you have the rights to everything you upload and render.
When you choose to publish a template to the public template library, you grant Mockups Generator a license to host, display, and make that template available to other users so they can preview and use it. You must only publish templates you have the right to share, and they must comply with the prohibited-content rules in this policy. You can request removal of a template you published by contacting support.
Third-party services and AI features
Some parts of the Service rely on third-party subprocessors, and your use of those features must also comply with the relevant provider's acceptable-use rules. We use Stripe for payments (when billing is enabled), S3-compatible object storage (AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, or MinIO) to store files, and Replicate for optional AI segmentation and generation features — Replicate is only involved when you actually use an AI feature.
When you use an optional AI feature, do not submit prompts or inputs intended to produce content that violates this AUP, and do not attempt to misuse those features to bypass the prohibited-content or prohibited-conduct rules above.
Enforcement and consequences
If we believe you have violated this policy, we may take action that is proportionate to the violation and to the risk it creates for other users and for the Service. We will try to be reasonable and, where appropriate and lawful, give you notice and a chance to fix the problem — but for serious violations (such as CSAM, active attacks, or unlawful content) we may act immediately and without prior notice.
Depending on the situation, enforcement actions may include any of the following.
- Removing or disabling access to specific content, templates, or rendered files.
- Throttling, restricting, or revoking API keys or specific features.
- Temporarily suspending your account or your access to the Service.
- Permanently terminating your account.
- Preserving and disclosing information where required by law, or reporting illegal content to the appropriate authorities.
Reporting abuse
If you see content or behavior on Mockups Generator that you believe violates this policy — including infringing material in the public template library, abusive conduct, or a security concern — please tell us. The fastest way to reach us is by email.
Email support@mockupsgenerator.com with a description of the issue and, where possible, links or identifiers (such as the template or account involved) so we can investigate quickly. For suspected intellectual-property infringement, include enough detail to identify the work and your relationship to it. We review reports and take appropriate action under this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time as the Service evolves — for example, when paid plans launch or new features are added. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
This policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mockups Generator is established. A registered address is available on request via support@mockupsgenerator.com. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
